Photo Sciences, Inc. (PSI) began its manufacturing operations in 1972. Its founder, Layton John (L.J.) Stogsdill, holds the present positions of Chairman and CEO. PSI was among the earliest producers of photomasks for the then infant computer and electronics industry. The need for more complex integrated circuits has grown through the years and PSI photomask technology has developed accordingly. Gaining technical expertise through both the creation and capabilities of precision lithography tools, PSI marked its reputation as a high quality photomask manufacturer.   In its infancy, PSI primarily served semiconductor manufacturers and military subcontractors.

Today, products built from PSI photomasks are found at the core of almost every imaginable product; computers, F-16 fighters, cellular phones, microwave devices, cameras, the Mars probe, pacemakers, satellites, hearing aids, fax machines, medical research equipment, MEMS components, nanotechnology devices and automobiles all contain components created from Photo Sciences' photomasks.

Furthermore, PSI leverages photomask technology as merely the catalyst for generating unique and exciting high precision custom micro-products.   We fabricate products for various applications and a wide range of industries, including; projection apertures, encoder discs, patterned domes, resolution targets, metal masks, permanent still projection graphics, diffractive optics, gobos and many more.
